We occasionally offer in-person Mahjong classes at the store. Our upcoming classes are with Lynn Cooper, from Mahjong Collective. Those dates are:

Class Descriptions:
Mahjong 101 – Beginner
Perfect for anyone brand new to American Mahjong. No experience required. We’ll cover setup, tile basics, Charleston strategy, reading the National Mahjong League card, gameplay flow, and etiquette—so you can sit down and play with confidence.
Mahjong 102 – Skills & Speed
Designed for players who know the basics and want to get sharper. We’ll reinforce NMJL rules, increase pace of play, and build strategic thinking—pivoting on the card, spotting strong backups, and making smarter decisions in real time.
Mahjong 103 – Advanced Strategy/Defensive Play/Scoring
Where the magic happens. We’ll focus on defensive play, scoring hands, reading opponents, exposure analysis, and end-game decisions—because in Mahjong, there’s no second place.
